Eschool - bringing I.T. to rural schools in Africa
Computer Aid International

This project aims to equip an African school with an eschool kit

This project aims to equip an African school with an eschool kit which includes:

  • An ICT lab with PCs, scanners and printers -5 digital classrooms with ICT facilities to support the integration of ICT into the wider curriculum
  • Training for teachers to ensure the effective and continued use of the eschool kit
  • An administration facility containing PCs and ICT tools to improve efficiency and speed in the school administration team.

Learning IT skills at school means children will be able to gain better paid employment in the future. The eschool kit is a holistic ICT solution to the key challenges faced by schools in developing countries. ICT helps schools overcome the challenge of large class sizes by fostering student- centred learning, provides access to up to date learning materials and provides students with a path to access higher education.
